a safe site ?
About Us
Our goal is to help keep the web safe. You can check the safety of any web site by typing the web site address in the form above or check out our safe site widgets for even quicker ways to check the trust of any web site.
Webmasters can also place a free trust seal on your web site to show your visitors that your web site is safe.
Our safe search uses Googles Safe Search filter to only show search results of safe web sites.
Our trust test uses Google's Safe Browsing API to determine if a web site is safe or not. Other security tests provided by Web of Trust, Norton Safe Web, McAfee Site Advisor, Alexa Site Info, Google Page Rank, and Google Safe Search.
Google's Safe Browsing Advisory
We want our users to feel safe when they search the web, and we're continuously working to identify dangerous pages and to increase protection for our users. Google uses automatic algorithms and user feedback to compile lists of sites that may be dangerous. The two major types of dangerous pages on our lists are phishing pages and malware pages. The lists of potentially dangerous pages are available to developers via the Safe Browsing API. These lists can't perfectly protect users from every risky site on the web, and there is always a chance that a safe site could be misidentified as risky, but we update the lists regularly to keep them as current as possible.
Phishing
Phishing, or spoofing, is a type of attack in which a page asks you for your personal or financial information under false pretenses. To learn more about phishing, you can visit Antiphishing.org.
- If you believe that we're including a page on our list that is not a phishing page, please send us a phishing error report.
- You can also let us know about a phishing page if you find one that we've missed.
Malware is a type of software that attempts to steal your personal information or use your computer to do things that you do not intend. Malware pages are web pages containing malicious code that could be downloaded and installed on your computer without your consent. You can learn more about harmful web content including viruses and other malicious software and how to protect your computer at StopBadware.org.
- If you believe that your site is showing up on our list of malware pages incorrectly, you can appeal the malware classification through StopBadware.org.
